Interested in boarding your dog with us overnight? Here’s all the important information you need to know! Please read in its entirety!
We are not a “traditional” boarding facility. We are a dog daycare, offering our overnight boarding services to our regular, established daycare clients. This means they must average at least 2 visits per month, one preferably being a full day. They will be more comfortable with our facility flow, staff, and other dogs if they attend daycare regularly!
If you are interested in your dog attending daycare semi-regularly and wish to board with us, here are our requirements prior to scheduling any overnight dates:
-Initial Evaluation/Trial Day! This is to make sure your dog is a good candidate for social group play, and there are no major behavioral concerns like aggression, etc.! Check out our "Getting Your Dog Started" page underneath the Daycare tab. It includes all the information you need to know to get your dog signed up! There is also a "register" button at the bottom of the page that you can click to go ahead and create your profiles, prior to scheduling their first visit!
-Minimum of 3 visits after their initial evaluation prior to boarding overnight.
-This looks like: Initial Evaluation, AM or PM Playdate, AM or PM Playdate, and a Full Day. Based on their behavior in the group over those 4 visits, we will determine whether or not we think your dog is ready to board overnight with us. This is to ensure your dog is comfortable with our facility, there are no major behavioral concerns, and they will be well-adjusted for their overnight stay. We reserve the right to require additional daycare visits prior to boarding overnight on a case by case basis (dependent on each individual dog's progress), or decline overnight services if their behavior is not conducive to a safe overnight boarding experience.
Behaviors we do not accept in overnight guests:
-Excessive barking (in group or in their kennel, must be able to settle down quietly)
-Extreme separation anxiety or destructiveness
-Escape attempts/fence climbers
-Aggression towards humans or other dogs or any major behavioral concerns
What to bring?
-All we really need is your dog's food from home, preferably in a storage container, Ziploc bag or the dog food bag itself. Grocery bags tear open easily, so we would advise against those. We provide food/water bowls, cots and blankets, treats, etc. (however you’re more than welcome to bring their blanket/bed as a familiar smell!). We can administer any medications they take daily such as dental chews, anxiety medications, etc. so bring those as needed. If you have any questions regarding what to bring, give us a call or an email!
