McKenzie HomanOwner
McKenzie graduated from Carroll College, in her hometown of Helena, Montana, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in Anthrozoology. She grew up working with animals, training horses, going on cattle drives, and living with dogs. She began working professionally when she was still in high school, training cutting horses for Montana cowboys. In college, her training focus switched to dogs. As part of her coursework, she trained a rescued German shepherd for live tracking, search and rescue, and narcotics detection. For her senior project, she adopted a shelter pup and trained her for scent work and human remains detection. McKenzie has traveled to Africa to train dogs and handlers for Working Dogs for Conservation, trained dogs from beginning to fielding for invasive species detection, and has started anti-poaching tracking. In her eight years of running SkyHi she has handled and lived with approximately 3000 dogs. When not running SkyHi, McKenzie chases her 1 year old daughter around, helps her husband run his backcountry ski business, or is out and about in the mountains, rivers, or other wild-places in Montana and beyond. |
Faith Brown: General Manager
Hi, I'm Faith! I've lived in Montana almost 8 years but was born and raised in Georgia. I grew up with a passion for animals and as an adult I've owned and cared for many different animals, including bunnies, chinchillas, rats, cats, birds, and finally dogs of my own! Currently I have two rescue dogs, Esco (border collie) and Diddy (schnauzer/mini poodle)! I love going on hikes with Esco and enjoying nature, and Diddy loves lounging at home and getting all the loves he can get (he's an old man!) I've been at SkyHi for 4 years now, getting to know all of your amazing pups. I love discovering each dogs' unique personality--they are all truly different in their own special way. One of my lifelong dreams is to enter the rescue and rehabilitation field, traveling across the country/world to help save animals. Another lifelong goal of mine is to foster and re-home shelter dogs, on a large piece of land, giving them the best chance at life they can have! Other fun facts about me include: Star Wars nerd, movie fanatic, video game geek, pro-wrestling fan! |

In the future she wishes to teach English abroad and explore new places with her loyal animals boy her side! She says, as long as she has her animals and a good book there's nowhere she wouldn't explore. |

Lily Andersen: Daycare Specialist
Hi, my name is Lily, I started working at sky-hi in February and have loved everyday since. I have dreamed of working here since I was a kid and I’m so honored to be apart of the team now. Working with dogs is fascinating to me, I love how willing they are to learn and watching them progress after lots of hard work fills me with joy. When I’m not at sky-hi I love hiking with my two dogs Delilah and Charlie, baking and doing anything crafty. |

Audrey Brown: Daycare Specialist
Hi there! My name is Audrey Brown, I have been lucky enough to call Montana home for a majority of my life. I have always loved animals and caring for them. I grew up on a ranch and spent my childhood with a multitude of barnyard animals - I even talked my mom into starting a honeybee business with me when I was six. Everyone has always said I have a caring nature towards animals and I suppose they were right considering where I am now! I am currently attending Carroll College to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Anthrozoology and minor in Business. My education has given me the confidence to work with dogs and know that I am capable of making their lives better, whether that means training one on one or giving a daycare pup some extra cuddles for the day. |

Hey everyone! My name is Rosie Michelotti. I grew up in Helena, MT and I am a Capital High School graduate. I am currently a Junior at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA with a major in Biology. I have a Golden Retriever named Mookie and I love taking long walks with him on Mount Helena! I also enjoy taking pictures of my goofy pup watching him swim at the lake. In my free time, I like to swim, make art and jewelry, and spend lots of time with my big family. In the future I would love to work with animals for my lifetime job, ranging from marine life rescue to breeding dogs. I joined the SkyHi team in May of 2023 and I have loved every minute of working with everyone and getting to play with all of your wonderful dogs! |
Lilly: Bather
Hi! I’m Lilly. Born and raised here in Helena, I’ve spent most of my life around animals, whether they’re furry or scaly! As such, having a job where I get to work with the animals I love is a huge bonus. I was trained as a dog bather for a bit under a year, and would like to grow the experience to eventually learn how to complete full grooms. On the side of hobbies, I’m slowly in the works of growing my reptile collection, and would like to become a hognose snake breeder, with the freedom to travel to reptile shows and conventions! I look forward to working with your furry friends! |
