Hannah grew up in Meridian, Idaho with a love of animals. Her first job was at Camp Bow Wow, a dog daycare and boarding facility. At Camp Bow Wow, she started as a Daycare Attendant and eventually became a Shift Lead. In 2015, she started her freshman year at Carroll College in the Anthrozoology program. During her junior year at Carroll, she started working at SkyHi. She started her journey at SkyHi as a daycare and boarding attendant. Additionally, as part of her coursework at Carroll, she was able to train a shelter dog for the entirety of her junior year. She was able to train the dog to be proficient at basic obedience, scent detection, and some service dog tasks. The summer between her junior and senior year, Hannah completed an internship at the PennVet Working Dog Center. She spent the summer working with 20+ working dogs and assisting with their training in obedience, scent detection, handling, and fitness. As a senior at Carroll, Hannah was fortunate enough to train an Archaeological Detection Dog for a local archaeologist. Furthermore, she began to aid with group classes and board and trains at SkyHi. Hannah graduated from Carroll in 2019 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthrozoology. She then went on to Virginia Tech to complete a Master’s Degree with the Applied Animal Behavior and Welfare Lab where she trained pet dogs in scent detection. While she was a Virginia Tech, she also puppy raised two different service dogs and fostered three shelter dogs, one of which became a failed foster and is now her personal dog. Hannah is also a certified public trainer through the American Society for Canine Trainers. She is currently working on becoming a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and a certified Control Unleashed instructor.

Our Philosophy
We seek to find what motivates your dog! We use treats, toys, and praise for motivation. Motivation is what drives behavior! Motivation also drives human behavior too! Our lessons put a big focus on training YOU, the humans! Your attitude and the time you choose to put in to your dog will decide how successful you dog is in training! Behavioral changes take time! We hope we can help you understand behavior from your dog's perspective for better communication as you progress. Whether you have a puppy, an adult dog, or a recent rescue, we want to show care and concern for your journey as a team!
